Due to Covid-19 this class is being offered in a virtual format.

Are you interested in becoming a member of the CMP “Community”? 
Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a CMP designation, administered by the Events Industry Council?

On  November 23-24, 2020 you can participate in a two-day intensive education course worth 13.5 CEU (clock hours), covering the recommended content and context
needed to prepare for the CMP exam. This course will help you prepare for the exam while learning the content and domains to be successful.

Not an MPI VA Chapter Member? Not a problem!

policy decisions is far broader. This is one of the most important and expensive areas in business.


Ann Buhl, CMP, CMM, has over 30 years’ experience in the Hospitality and Event Industry and has a passion for leadership development, strategic meetings management and facilitating organizational change management. Ann is a past president of MPI Virginia, has actively served on numerous committees and in various roles since 2009.  She has been a featured speaker at various MPI chapter meetings, annual conferences and CMP Conclave to discuss how to reach your professional, client and program goals, strategic meetings management and how to improve planner and supplier relationships. Ann currently teaches CMP certification courses, serves as Director of Leadership Development for the Virginia Chapter, and facilitates MPI annual retreats

During the day she works as, Senior Manager, Meeting and Event Planning for The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond where she has the opportunity to lead a diverse team of industry professionals and doesn’t believe successful careers just happen they have to be planned and executed like a successful program or event.


MPI VA Members: $250
Non-Members: $350

MPI Virginia Chapter Attendance Policy: All Essential Level members or non-members are limited to no more than two events in one fiscal year and must pay the Essential Level/Non-member rate. MPI Preferred or Premier Level members are welcome to attend all chapter events at the Member Price.

Cancellation penalties do apply:
Cancellations outside of 30 days from event date: $10
Cancellations within 30 days from event date:  $25
Cancellations within 3 days of event date:     No refund
